Honda Acty
Mid-engine layout, revvy engine, excellent traction.

About the Honda Acty
The Acty is Honda's kei truck and the odd one out mechanically. Where most rivals put the engine under or ahead of the seats, the Acty mounts it mid-ship beneath the bed. The result is more weight over the driven rear axle, which owners consistently report as better traction on loose surfaces, plus the free-revving character Honda engines are known for.
Best suited to
- Traction on loose ground
- Owners who prefer a manual
- Lower bed floor height
- Honda mechanical familiarity
Timing belt history. Mid-engine access makes the job more involved, so ask whether it has been done and when.
